A business owner has a lot to say about their company, just like a proud parent has a lot to say about his or her children. It’s fine to be enthusiastic about your business, but how do you know when you’ve gone too far when it comes to advertising it on a vehicle wrap? It may be tempting to cram as much information as possible onto the vehicle wrap, assuming that the more information you provide, the more potential clients you will attract. Regrettably, this is not always the case.
For a successful vehicle wrap design, we recommend the following four ingredients: Neither more nor less:
- Your company name and logo are the most important elements of your vehicle wrap. This may seem obvious, but logos are really significant. Your company’s identity is your logo; it’s shorthand for who you are and what you’re all about. Wraps are all about staying visible and increasing your branding and you can’t achieve any of those goals unless you incorporate your name and logo!
- Keep in mind that you can remove the www from the start of your URL to save space; it’s just not necessary in today’s highly wired society. Another innovative solution is to create a separate mirror site with a slightly different web domain, such as weloveflowers.com if your company is wegrowflowers.com. Put the second address on your wrap to see how much of your internet traffic comes from the road.
- Add a few important services. Now, a list of services can be difficult to come up with because many business owners are prone to slapping everything they do on the car wrap. Slow down and focus on only a few of your strengths. Consider showcasing what you’re most known for, or alternatively, something that people may not be aware of in order to increase sales in that area. Pick a handful of your most popular ticket services, or include something that will blend in with the rest of the car visuals. On a single vehicle wrap, we recommend advertising no more than three services.
Okay, we just stated four things, but consider this a bonus. Quick response codes, or QR codes, are a hot new marketing technique that will have a big impact on your vehicle wrap. These bar codes include information that smartphones can scan and decode, acting as offline hyperlinks to anything. This is an excellent method to include all of the extra services you wish to promote in your vehicle wrap. You might also direct them to a website where they can arrange an appointment, receive a special deal, or even get a free consultation!
